We are experienced installers that have successfully installed hardwood and engineering planks on battens or plywood over a concrete slab or over existing timber and sheet floors on joists. We also specialize in installing skirting boards.
1) Fixing of Planks over Existing timber and Sheet Floors on Joists
The existing timber and sheet floors must be structurally sound and level. Planks can be laid with top nailing fixing method (with or without adhesives) or secret nailing method with adhesive (with full adhesives or tube adhesives).
2) Fixing of Planks over battens or plywood over a concrete slab
The plywood or battens need to be at a moist level within a few per cent of the flooring at the time of installation. Planks over plywood over a concrete slab can be laid only for secret nailing method with adhesive but Planks over battens over a concrete slab can be laid with top nailing fixing method or secret nailing method with adhesive.
3) Direct Fixing to the concrete slab or sheet floors with adhesives
This method is usually used for Parquetry and Engineering Floors with full adhesives and it is a specialist field in flooring techinques.
4) Installing of Planks using Floating method specially in Engineering wood flooring
Planks are not fastened to any part of the subfloors. A pad is placed between subfloor and wood floors. Glue is applied to hold each pieces together.
After the hardwood flooring is completed, the surface must be sanded and finished to ensure smoothess and wood protection or stained in wide choice of colours.
